CURRICULUM
The curriculum program we use is called STREAMin3. This is an innovative, engaging, and interactions-based curriculum model for children ages birth through preschool. Its structure includes:
6 STREAM SKILLS:
Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art, Math
5 CORE SKILLS:
-
Relate with peer and adults
-
Regulate their emotions, attention and behavior
-
Think deeply about the world around them
-
Communicate with others productively
-
Move their bodies to achieve goals
DISCIPLINE
-
We use redirection—try to find out what is going on with your child and if there is anything we can do to calm the situation.
-
We use “THINKING TIME” to see if this will calm the behaviors
-
In the event a child is harming others or themselves, we will call the parent for an intervention.
